
6.6 Earthquake 14km ENE Puerto Madero Mexico February 1 2019 – On Friday, February 1, 2019 at 8:14 AM, a magnitude 6.6 earthquake (see video below) struck near Congregación Reforma, Chiapas, Mexico.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the quake had a magnitude of 6.6 and was centered about 10 miles from Tapachula in the southern state of Chiapas and just under two miles from Congregación Reforma, Chiapas, near the Guatemala Border.
The earthquake struck at a depth of 40 miles.
There have been no reports of serious damage, injuries or deaths at this time.
