Shipmates television show aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines ship Vision of the Seas is a 2018 British reboot of an American syndicated television show that ran for two seasons from 2001 to 2003. The show features a couple who’ve just met, navigate the stormy seas of dating during a three-day cruise with cameras on board to capture their emotions and possible confrontations.

The 2018 reboot reality show, saw the cruise ship, containing 2,500 passengers including 10 young British contestants, who start in Barcelona, Spain and sail around the Mediterranean with calls in Cannes, France; Ibiza, Spain; and Palma, Spain before returning to Barcelona.

The cruise labeled Anchored Cruise, recruited some of the worlds biggest DJs and their parties are some of the most exclusive events to be found. The first cruise alleges alcohol and illegal drugs flowed openly on deck. In Cannes, a British man was met by police and arrested.

Reruns of the original Shipmates later ran on the cable channel Spike TV. The show was created by Hurricane Entertainment and the executive producer was John Tomlin. Chris Hardwick was the host. Participants in the show were sent on a blind date on a Carnival Cruise ship, with camera crews following the couple around the clock.
