Norwegian Dawn Passenger Dead After Jetski Accident – According to Bermuda News, a 62-year-old female cruise ship passenger apparently fell from her jet ski and into the water, losing consciousness.
A police spokesperson said, “At about 11:05 am today [Monday] police and other first responders attended a report of an unresponsive female who fell off of a jetki whilst on a jetski tour in the area of Cambridge Beaches in Sandys. Details are still emerging, but it appears that 62-year-old female cruise ship visitor apparently fell from her jet ski and into the water, losing consciousness, CPR was performed as she was taken via a boat to the hospital, where the 62-year-old Massachusetts woman was later pronounced dead.”
There was only one cruise ship in port at Bermuda on Monday, Norwegian Dawn. Norwegian Cruise Line ship Norwegian Dawn, embarked from Boston, Massachusetts at 1600 hours on Friday, June 1, 2018.
Norwegian Dawn arrived on Sunday, June 3 at at the Royal Naval Dockyard at 1300 hours and stayed overnight. The cruise ship returned to Boston at 0700 hours on Tuesday and was schedule to arrive back in Boston at 0800 hours Friday, June 5.
As soon as the Norwegian Dawn passenger is identified, she will added to the Cruise Ship Deaths database.
