Winter Storm Toby (see video below) will dump feet of snow in some places in the Northeast through Thursday, the fourth nor’easter in less than three weeks and potentially one of the heaviest snowstorms this late in the season on the east coast. The storm is expected to hit the East Coast Wednesday, the second day of spring. Blizzard conditions are possible.
In New York City, there have been 15 snow events of 6 inches or more on and after March 16, seven of which were in April.
More than 3,720+ flights were cancelled in the United States as of Tuesday evening. Nationwide, more than 690 flights had been canceled and another 4,025 delayed as of 7:30 p.m. ET
Expect travel to be delayed to cruise ports affected by the blizzard conditions including Baltimore, Boston, New York City, Norfolk,, Philadelphia, Portland and Washington D.C. Make sure you leave extra travel time if you are heading to a cruise port.
