On Saturday, January 27, 2018, Jozef Fred Senna, 63, from Jacksonville, Florida  had been celebrating his birthday with a cruise when he was charged with battery and false imprisonment after Carnival Cruise Lines cruise ship Carnival Magic returned to port, according to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Carnival Magic left Port Canaveral, Florida on Saturday, January 20, 2018 for a 7-night Caribbean cruise. Carnival Magic called at Dominican Republic, St Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Grand Turk before returning to Port Canaveral.

The female victim said she met Senna in the casino bar and talked to him for a while before she was ready to leave. Senna offered to walk her back, but she declined. He insisted so she accepted. Once they reached her cabin, he asked to see her balcony. While on the balcony, the victim told law enforcement that Senna began rubbing up against her and she told him to stop.

Then, the victim alleges, when she tried to walk from the balcony into her cabin, Senna allegedly blocked her path. He then pulled her shirt up and her dress down. He began to masturbate on the woman’s clothing.

A button was found on the balcony and some of the victim’s clothing were taken as evidence. Deputies are reviewing the video surveillance taken from the casino bar and cruise ship.
