Naville J. Fernandes, 41, a cruise ship crew member from Goa, India was aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines’ Liberty of the Seas, where he died the second day of a 7-Night Western Caribbean cruise on Monday, July 31, 2017 while the cruise ship was sailing to Cozumel, Mexico.
Fernandes had previously worked for Regent Seven Seas Cruises and had crewed aboard Seven Seas Navigator.
His interests included cars, music, dancing, comedy, Bollywood, Disney and American television and movies including Titanic.
Fernandes left behind his wife Malvaka and one son.
Liberty of the Seas embarked from Galveston, Texas on Sunday July 30, 2017, then called at Cozumel, Mexico; George Town, Grand Cayman and Falmouth, Jamaica before returning to Galveston.
