Cruise Ship Fire Delays Voyage Until April

AIDAprima fire further delays 85 day cruise from Hamburg, Germany.

Shipyard workers and crew were evacuated and no injuries were reported. The fire was quickly suppressed by shipyard’s fire brigade and local authorities.

The fire was said to be caused during laying electrical cables on deck 7 near the Theatrium. The fire scorched a 15 square meters area.

AIDAprima is on schedule to begin sailing with a on a 86-day maiden voyage from Hamburg on April 30, 2016 after missing a launch date of December 2015.
